SECURITY BULLETIN: Laptop stolen in Scott Library

TORONTO − A laptop owned by a York student was stolen at approximately 2:40pm on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, while the student was studying on the second floor of Scott Library.

The student reported chasing the suspect out of the library and through Central Square, and said  the suspect indicated he had a knife, although no knife was produced.

York Security is assisting Toronto Police Service (TPS) in the investigation of the incident.

Toronto Police Service describes the suspect as follows:

Male, Black, 6’ tall, slim build, approximately 22 years old, wearing a black hoodie and a dark jacket with green stripe across the back.
