Concerns have been raised about a recent message a Teaching Assistant (TA) shared with their students in which the TA expresses personal political views about a serious and ongoing international conflict unrelated to the academic material. The University learned of this email on May 17, 2021, and is addressing the matter with the TA through appropriate channels. Supports are being offered to all students in the class.

It is our hope and expectation that all York community members will be mindful of the many ongoing global conflicts that have serious and deeply personal impacts on the health and well-being of ourselves and our families, and all members of the broader York community.
