TORONTO, May 27, 2015 – What can a 3,000-ton steam turbine chiller do for a university the size of a small city? Reduce its energy consumption enough to get two large rebate cheques from Toronto Hydro ($1,030,480) and Enbridge Gas Distribution ($44,611).

And, help save the environment by reducing the University’s carbon footprint.

York University celebrated the success of its YORKW!SE Energy Conservation and Retrofit Project this afternoon. The cheques were presented by Michael Marchant of Toronto Hydro and Mike Lister of Enbridge.
