PowerStream to invest in environmental education at York University

TORONTO, Feb. 27, 2012 – York University President and Vice-Chancellor Mamdouh Shoukri and PowerStream Board Chair and Town of Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti will gather alongside additional York University and PowerStream officials to announce a significant gift for sustainable energy research and student awards for the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University. 

What: Major donor funding announcement

Photo opportunity: York U Faculty of Environmental Studies students and faculty to showcase key York environmental research projects – such as a solar panel energy display – through hands-on exhibits.

PowerStream will also showcase its electric cars

When: Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at 1pm
