TORONTO, November 14, 2011 – This Wednesday, Nov. 16, at noon, York students will debut a LipDub video in York University’s Student Centre during their Spirit Rally.

The eight-minute video features four songs and hundreds of York students who were involved in the filming, choreography and singing in the LipDub – showcasing the school’s diversity, inclusiveness and spirit!

“This is proof that even as a commuter school and one of the largest universities in Canada, York still has a strong sense of community,” says Monirul Pathan, vice-president of campus life at the York Federation of Students.

YFS has partnered with York’s Office of the President and Sport & Recreation York to host this rally, which will celebrate our athletes, our York spirit and our sense of community.

“I am really pleased that the York Federation of Students took the initiative to develop and create a LipDub,” says Mamdouh Shoukri, York’s president and vice-chancellor. “Their leadership has helped to engage our community of students and has clearly demonstrated why York is envied for its university pride and spirit.”
