SECURITY BULLETIN: Two cell phones stolen at Student Centre

TORONTO − Two female members of the York community were robbed of their cell phones at approximately 1:45pm on Sunday, July 10, 2011, while sitting at different tables on the first floor of the Student Centre.

In the first robbery, the phone was snatched from the owner’s hand as she used it. The suspects then ran over to a woman a few tables away and took her cell phone, which was lying on the table. No injuries were reported or weapons used. Suspects were seen leaving on bicycles.

York Security is investigating the incidents.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1 – Male, black with light skin, 16 years, slim build, wearing white oversized t-shirt and jeans, with a baseball hat.

Suspect 2 – Male, black, 16 years, slim build, wearing a dark oversized t-shirt and jeans, with baseball hat.
