TORONTO, October 18, 2009 -- Toronto Police Service is investigating an incident that occurred at approximately 3 pm on Sunday, October 18, 2009, at the Tatham Hall residence of McLaughlin College, on York University’s Keele campus.

 

At that time, it was reported to police that a male student had been the victim of an assault. The student was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 

Police are treating this as an altercation among individuals known to each other and do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community as a result.

Toronto Police and York Security Services are cautioning all campus residents to limit building access to York community members or authorized personnel.

• Report any suspicious persons or behaviour to York University Security Services
