Groundbreaking ceremony marks official launch of SuperBuild project at York University

TORONTO, November 13, 2001 -- York University and Seneca College will officially launch the construction of the Technology Enhanced Learning building at 12 Noon on Monday, November 19, 2001. The ceremony will begin with remarks in the board room of the Seneca@York building, and will then move to the building site across the street. The building’s construction is part of York’s $318-million construction program and is being financed in part through the Ontario government’s SuperBuild program. Participants at the ceremony will include York University president and vice-chancellor Lorna R. Marsden, Seneca College president Rick Miner, and Ontario Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities Dianne Cunningham.
