TORONTO, Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 – The Ontario Securities Commission is hosting a roundtable today to review corporate disclosures pertaining to women in the corporate boardroom and executive suite. How far have we come in diversifying the upper echelons of corporate Canada and should regulators be doing more?

Professor Aaron Dhir of York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School, author of the book Challenging Boardroom Homogeneity, thinks more should be done.

“It may now be time to consider gender quotas for corporate boardrooms,” he says.
