TORONTO, November 3, 2016 –York University and the City of Markham will unveil official signage to mark the new site for York University’s Markham campus on Friday November 4, 2016.
York U – Markham Centre will be home to more than 4,000 students in eight different fields of study, including arts and media, information technology, liberal arts, environmental studies and business. York University has committed $45M for its construction. The Regional Municipality of York has also committed up to $25M towards this exciting initiative, and the City of Markham has donated 5 acres of land in Markham Centre for the new campus.
