Since the start of the labour disruption, York University has worked hard to get our students back to class as quickly as possible. As you know, on Wednesday, March 11, the University resumed 333 courses in a number of our Schools and Faculties.

Senate Executive met this afternoon to review the Faculty-specific plans regarding the resumption of the balance of courses next week. They approved the resumption of all courses in the JD program offered by Osgoode Hall Law School  (on the understanding that CUPE 3903 Unit 1 work would not be replaced), effective Monday, March 16, 2015.

The Committee also had a fulsome discussion and identified the outstanding issues to be addressed in order to approve the resumption of the balance of classes Tuesday, March 17th. A revised institutional framework will be brought back to Senate Executive at a meeting on Monday morning, March 16th, so that it can conclude its deliberations.

All courses currently being delivered will continue and further updates will be posted on our website at yorku.ca/labour2015.

York highly values the significant contributions its teaching assistants and graduate assistants make to the university.
