York U experts available on mathematics genius Turing, inspiration for Oscar contender The Imitation Game

TORONTO, February 18, 2015 – Sixty years have passed since British mathematician and logician Alan Mathison Turing’s untimely death at the age of 41. But his work is still alive and so intriguing that several adaptations of his life have been made, including The Imitation Game which is in the race for the 2015 Oscars on February 22, in the Best Picture category.

York University's Faculty of Science researchers in the Mathematics and Statistics Department, Professors Ilijas Farah and Mike Zabrocki are available for comment on the legend’s contributions to the field of mathematics.
