TORONTO, November 28, 2011 – Mamdouh Shoukri, York University President & Vice-Chancellor, will deliver the keynote address at the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers Forum on Tuesday morning.

Shoukri’s speech, “The Role of Universities in Economic Development – The Case for Engineering at York University,” focuses on the needs of today’s university engineers.

York University is creating the Lassonde School of Engineering to meet the challenges of engineering education in the 21st century.
