TORONTO, October 15, 2008 -- York University will host award-winning scientist, broadcaster and environmentalist David Suzuki on Wednesday, Oct. 15th as part of its Green Week activities.
Suzuki will discuss how students and other Canadians can make a positive impact on their environment by making simple changes to their lifestyles.
Suzuki is the host of the long-running CBC program, The Nature of Things. He was nominated as one of the top ten "Greatest Canadians" by CBC viewers in 2004, and he is a companion of the Order of Canada.
He has also received an honorary doctorate from York University. Dr. Suzuki comes to York courtesy of the Canadian Federation of Students and the York Federation of Students.
