TORONTO, October 15, 2008 -- Music, dance, poetry, theatre, and visual arts from around the world will converge at the Humanity in Harmony festival 2008, at York University on Oct. 16.
The evening of interdisciplinary collaboration will bring together York University students, faculty, members of the fine arts community, and the public.
Story teller and poet T. Kofi Hadjor will open the evening with his personal story of emigrating from Ghana to Canada, titled, A Fork in the Road – Personal Stories of Overcoming Homelessness and Starting Again! Three Thousand Days in the Wilderness: A Spiritual Journey through Homelessness!
Dipo dance and music of the Krobo people of Ghana will share the stage with Oromo of Ethiopia, Soukos of Congo, Kora of Guinea, and Gumboot of South Africa.
