Arrest made in sexual assaults case

Sexual Assault Update


On Thursday, 20 September 2007, Toronto Police Service issued an announcement that one man had been arrested in connection with the sexual assaults reported at York University on September 7th.

 

The TPS release provided the following information about the arrested man:

 

Daniel Katsnelson, age 25 of Thornhill, is charged with:

 

  • Five counts of break and enter,
  • Two counts of sexual assault,
  • Two counts of gang sexual assault,
  • Two counts of forcible confinement.

Another man is still wanted for the sexual assaults.  Toronto Police are encouraging anyone with information about him to call Toronto Police Service Sex Crimes Unit at 416-808-7474, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
