TORONTO, January 13, 2006 -- Candidates in the upcoming Federal Election will debate the issues and answer constituent questions at an All Candidates Forum at York University on Tuesday, January 17, 2006.
“We will use a similar format to the federal leaders’ debate and there will be ample opportunity for questions to be posed from audience members directly to the candidates,” commented York Federation of Students President Omari Mason.
The forum will be moderated by York Federation of Students VP Education Shamini Selvaratnam.
“There has been very little attention paid to youth during the campaign so far,” said York Federation of Students VP Finance Corrie Sakaluk. “This debate will provide a great opportunity for voters from the university community to see the stark differences between parties on issue.”
The event is being organized by the York Federation of Students in partnership with the York University Student Centre.
