Will speak on “The New International Security Environment"
TORONTO, March 4, 2005 – William J. Perry will give a public lecture at York's Glendon campus on "The New International Security Environment" at 7:30pm on Monday, March 7.
Perry is the Michael and Barbara Berberian Professor at Stanford University, with a joint appointment at the Institute for International Studies and the School of Engineering. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Institute for International Studies and serves as co-director of the Preventive Defence Project, a research collaboration of Stanford and Harvard Universities.
Perry was the 19th Secretary of Defence of the United States, serving from February 1994 to January 1997, and he also served as a co-director of the Centre for International Security & Arms Control at Stanford University. He is an expert in United States foreign policy, national security and arms control.
