York U. team still ready to test Einstein when NASA launch resumes tomorrow

TORONTO, April 19, 2004 -- York University’s Gravity Probe B team will resume the countdown watch tomorrow after the launch was postponed four minutes before lift off today due to high winds in the upper atmosphere.

Gravity Probe B, the $US700 million mission to test Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity, is now scheduled for launch from Southern California’s Vandenburg Air Force Base at 11:01 a.m. Eastern Time, Tuesday.
