TORONTO, February 6, 2004 – Dr. Joel Lexchin, a professor in York University’s Atkinson School of Health Policy and Management, can comment on policy issues in the prescription and use of drugs in children.
Lexchin, who is also a Toronto emergency room physician, can address what kinds of testing should be done before drugs are widely used in children, who should finance that research, safety issues about drugs currently on the market, how Health Canada makes decisions about drug approvals for children, and how much doctors know about prescribing to children.
