TORONTO, October 23, 2003 -- York University’s Schulich School of Business will officially open its doors on a $102 million new building today, Friday, Oct. 24.
The 335,000-square-foot facility includes such state-of-the-art accommodations as wireless Internet cafés, executive residential suites, breakout rooms with plasma screens and a library with online business databases and computer labs. The school’s marketplace area boasts a 220-seat dining hall with its own executive chef and a two-storey kitchen.
Members of the media are invited to a special preview tour of the new Schulich School of Business beginning at 10 a.m. in the main reception area. Photo opportunities are scheduled during the official opening which follows the tour at 10:45 a.m.
A minister (TBA) from the new Ontario government is expected to attend the official opening ceremonies.
