TORONTO, March 7, 2003 -- Former Prime Minister Kim Campbell, Visiting Professor at the John F. Kennedy School of Government (Harvard University), will give a public lecture at York University's Glendon College on Wednesday, March 12, at 7 p.m.
Campbell 's lecture, "The 21st Century - Where is Canadian Diplomat John W. Holmes when we need him?", will examine the late diplomat's ideas and Canada's foreign policy and legacy of past achievements on the world stage in the current global context of potential war with Iraq.
Holmes was president of the Canadian Institute of International Affairs (CIIA). He taught international relations at Glendon from 1971 to 1981 and was a strong supporter of the United Nations and multilateralism.
