TORONTO, April 15, 2002 -- Dr. Werner Meyer-Larsen, author of Germany Inc. and former New York bureau chief for Germany's leading news magazine Der Spiegel, will discuss German business expansion strategies during a talk, Germany Inc. - The New German Juggernaut and its Challenge to World Business, on Thursday, April 18.
Meyer-Larsen will examine German transatlantic business alliances, such as DaimlerChrysler, Deutsche Bank-Bankers Trust and Bertelsmann-Random House, and their impact on global competition.
The talk, presented by York University's Canadian Centre for German and European Studies in partnership with the Canadian German Lawyers Association, will take place 7 - 9 p.m., in the Barristers' Lounge of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Osgoode Hall, (east entrance across from Nathan Phillips Square), 130 Queen St. W.
