TORONTO, September 5, 2003 -- After a week of orientation for their sons and daughters, it's mum and dad's turn to learn about first-year at York University’s Parents Orientation Day to be held at the Keele campus on Sunday, Sept. 7.

York's Office of Student Affairs will hold two sessions for parents, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., in the Computer Science and Engineering Building, Lecture Hall A, moderated by York University President and Vice-Chancellor Lorna Marsden. The sessions will feature guest speaker and York alumnus Dan Matheson, primetime anchor of CTV NewsNet.

The sessions also include information for parents and students on the transition to university from York's Faculty of Arts Dean Robert Drummond, followed by a question and answer session, refreshments and campus tours.
