TORONTO − Following an investigation into a robbery on Friday night, Toronto Police Service and York Security Services are now investigating reports of two more robberies on campus the same night. The Toronto Police Service description of the two suspects is similar in all three cases. In each case, one of the suspects either indicated he had or displayed what victims described as a handgun.

Shortly after 6pm on Fri. Feb. 11, a male student was approached at the southeast corner of the Scott Library lot by two men. One of the suspects attempted to rob him of his cell phone and one of the suspects displayed what the victim described as a handgun, under his shirt. The student fled and was followed by the suspects, who then left, running north.

In the second incident, a male student walking north on the east side of Ottawa Road in front of Founders Residence at 6:20pm on Fri. Feb. 11, was confronted by two males. One suspect showed him what the victim described as a handgun stuck in the front of his pants. The student was robbed of $145 in cash.

The two incidents were followed by a robbery at 7:15pm Friday on the walkway on the south side of Vanier Residence.
